Description
Student C attended the Boys Model School in Belfast and left with five GCSEs. Aged nineteen he was imprisoned in the Loyalist wings of the Maze (H Blocks the Maze and Long Kesh Prison) in 1988. He became involved in education passed GCSE Sociology and then studied Social Sciences with The Open University in 1997. After his release in 1998 he was later imprisoned in Magilligan Prison where he studied for a Diploma for mature students with the University of Ulster. On release he worked in community development in North Belfast and studied for a BSC in Community Development with the University of Ulster. At the time of interview in 2013 he wa...s studying for a PhD in Conflict Transformation.
