Description
Eugene McElhinney worked as an Associate Lecturer with The Open University between 1984 and 2011. He tutored Education modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level and tutored Open University students in Portlaoise Prison and in the H Blocks of the Maze and Long Kesh Prison. He was a secondary level school teacher in Religious Education and worked on a cross community project called ‘The Religion in Ireland Project’ which brought together teachers from both sides of the community to work on common elements in the Religious Education Curriculum.
