Description
Cartographer John Speed produced this map in 1610 for his atlas 'The Theatre of the Empire of Great Britaine' first published in 1611. Printer John Beale, who purchased Walton Hall with his brother Bartholomew in 1622, produced the typeset for the atlas. The map is part of a collection of antique maps of Buckinghamshire donated to the University Archive.
