Description
This image shows fragments of glass bottles and a copper alloy thimble which were excavated at Walton Hall. The seventeenth century bottle neck (far right) was recovered from St Michael's Church in the 1970s. The remaining items were discovered in 1990 on the Walton Hall estate. The fragment from the base of an Aire & Calder glass bottle is probably mid-19th century. Thimbles like the one found at Walton may date from the fourteenth to the mid-seventeenth century. These items are archived at Milton Keynes Museum.
