Colonel David Earle who formerly lived at Walton Hall, visited The Open University in 1985 and presented the OU Archive with the Gilpin Indenture dated 1691. He is pictured with his wife, OU Archives Officer Peter Thornton-Pett, Mrs Horlock (wife of the VC) and University Secretary Joe Clinch.
