Brigadier Eric Earle married Diana Harley in 1931 and they owned Walton Hall until the 1960s. He is photographed here with their four sons (from left to right) Robin, Diccon, David and Peter. Diccon was killed in an army training accident in 1945. The photograph was featured in The Open University staff magazine Open House in October 1985.
