Description
The oldest memorial inside St Michael's Church is a brass plaque dedicated to Elizabeth Pyxe, the eleven year old daughter of Rector William Pyxe who died in 1617. The inscriptions are written in Latin and English, the latter being in the form of a 20 line poem. William Pyxe was Rector of Walton from 1598 to 1642.
