Description
Diana Carson worked as an Open University Associate Lecturer in Social Sciences and Social Policy and tutored in the H Blocks of the Maze and Long Kesh Prison and in Maghaberry Prison during the 1990s. Arising out of her Open University teaching she was contracted by the Prison Education Department to take evening classes in family relationships in the Republican wings of the H Blocks. Diana previously had trained as kindergarten teacher and social worker and gained a Masters in Community Development in the USA before moving to Northern Ireland to live and work in the 1960s.
