Description
William Cubitt was an English engineering contractor. His company built Covent Garden Market Fishmongers Hall and the original Euston station among other renowned London buildings. Cubitt served as the Conservative MP for Andover from 1847-1861. He was Lord Mayor of London in 1860-61. He was re-elected MP for Andover in 1862 and was still in office at the time of his death the following year.
