Footage description: Introduction. Seymour has just left Pentonville and the film will deal with the problems he faces in re-socialisation. Ostensibly his first problem is to get back his room key and collect his things. Shots of Seymour in the area of Pentonville, catching a bus, drinking coffee. He visits his girlfriend, Peggy, to get a spare key. Unsure of what to do they decide to go to the Social Security Dept. for some money, but this is temporarily withheld. As things go against Seymour he begins to argue with Peggy more and more. They decide to go to Seymour's room to retrieve his possessions. In Seymour's room they find his TV and tape recorder gone. No one seems to know anything about it and Seymour begins to suspect Peggy of having stolen them. He rings the Police. Totally lost and disconsolate, he stays in his room. One of the film crew starts to talk to him, asking him how he feels, what he'll do. He is hopeless, desperate, despairing. Peggy returns and they continue to row about whether she had anything to do with the missing equipment, with Peggy denying all knowledge and accusing others of lying. Seymour decides to remove all Peggy's stuff. He wants to be alone, not trusting anyone. Later on however, everything works out alright.
