Film of Hermann Goering calling for intensive efforts in science and engineering for the promotion of independence from the need to import raw materials, followed by two clips praising German scientists for the development of chemical substitutes for rubber and petrol. Film showing French and Ukrainian volunteer work forces is screened; Alan Milward comments over.
