Description
Professor Gass begins by describing the structure of the geology course S23 and then shows the associated home kit and demonstrates the McArthur microscope with rotating stage. Dr. Wilson then desc...ribes the map work part of the course and reminds students to e the maps in good time. He also demonstrates the cardboard models of geological structures. In the second part of the programme Professor Haynes shows the home kit for the chemistry courses. He demonstrates the inflammability of some of the contents and emphasises the need for careful handling. Dr. Roberts and Professor Haynes then demonstrate some ways of representing molecules in two or three dimensions that will be used during the course.
