Professor Ian Gass, Professor of Earth Sciences at the Open University, introduces a discussion on "The Energy Crisis" which is mainly concerned with what we should be doing about energy ...and energy resources. The speakers are Dr. E.F. Schumacher, for twenty years Economic Adviser and Consultant to the National Coal Board; Tom Tuohy, Managing Director of British Nuclear Fuels, the man in Britain responsible for the manufacture of plutonium; and Walt Patterson, journalist, Editor of "Your Environment", author of a book on nuclear reactors and a spokesman for "Friends of the Earth".
