Description
In this programme a series of models of the brain of lamprey, dogfish, toad, crocodile, pigeon, hedgehog, sheep and man are compared and contrasted. The structure of the brain may be related to the... behaviour of its animal. Film of the animals showing their typical life styles is shown. As well as relating brain structure to behaviour the evolution of the brain from lamprey to man is emphasised. In the second part of the programme Dr Einon demonstrates the stages of dissection of the preserved sheep's brain which constitutes one of the home experiments in this course.
