Footage description: | The programme begins with Jane Fames dressing her two daughters, Lucy and Sophie. This sequence is used to highlight the different demands made by parent and child in such an operation. Using a cartoon type of format, the points at which demands are made are illustrated and also the ensuing reaction to the demand. In a similar sequence Jane Fames' daughters play at making cakes. A cartoon sequence then shows the points at which demands were made. The third sequence shows how Jane reacts when her daughter, Sophie, does not want to go out shopping. A cartoon sequence shows the ways in which she tries to persuade Sophie to go out. In the final sequence we see how a conflict arises between Jane and Lucy about when she should stop playing and take a bath. The commentator analyses the problems involved. We then see the children in the bath, still arguing with their mother. |
