Footage description: | The programme shows how children can help with work around the house. The first sequence shows Robert Barnes and his mother mixing a cake. The way in which Robert is helped by his mother is then analysed, using a sequence of stills and drawings. The next sequence shows a boy. David Nichol helping his mother sort out types of clothes for washing. The mother's behaviour is again analysed. As a method of comparing parental behaviour and attitudes we now see two children with their mothers making a sandwich. The approaches of the two parents are then compared. The programme ends with Robert Barnes removing his cakes from the oven. |
