
Description
A performance of the final two of the three scenes or 'movements' of Strindberg's chamber play written in 1907. Scenes from the first 'movement' are included as flashbacks. Joseph O'Conor plays Hum...mel, a vindictive crippled businessman who attempts to bring down and expose everyone around him. Beatrix Lehmann plays his former lover who now lives in a cupboard and thinks she's a parrot. The two young lovers, whose passion is corrupted by surrounding evil, are played by David Troughton and Anne Kidd. The play was translated by Michael Meyer.
