Footage description: Dr. Barsham introduces the programme and explains that she will be harmonising a tune. Dr. Barsham plays the tune which is displayed on the screen. She builds up a harmony for the first imperfect cadence. She then builds up the harmony for the second bar, making passing notes and suspensions. She plays the complete passage. Barnard Thomas demonstrates how to obtain the second octave range of notes on the recorder. Ross Winters talks about rounds and plays 'Summer is icumen in Winters and Thomas then play 'Fantasy' by Metru.
