How to develop an import and resource saving diet for his family. Robin Roy explains how he used the model design strategy to work out a strategy for his own project. Ken Greene, a tutor who helped Robin with his project, explains the need to have a strategy worked out in advance. Robin Roy explains how he built up an objectives tree for his project and how this was used to define his project closely. Shots of the objectives tree. Neville Rees, another tutor, discusses the need for students to limit objectives when doing project work. Robin Roy discusses the use of an interaction matrix to transform objectives into research questions. John Kenward, staff tutor, explains the need to reduce the scale of the problem when faced with a vast list of research questions. Neville Rees joins in. Robin Roy discusses the need to review strategy in light of his data gathering capability. Robin Roy and the three tutors discuss the problem faced by the student when they discover that most of the project assumptions have been wrong. Robin Roy explains how far he got with his project, pointing out some of his results. He then briefly sums up. The three tutors also make brief closing statements.
