Description
In this programme, which is intended as a primary element of the block, we look in some detail at Metro High School, Chicago. The perspective is that of curriculum theory, but this is not an abstra...ct theoretical film. It is rather an attempt to capture the essential flavour and dominant characteristics of a number of Metro classes, and the atmosphere of their various locations around the city. We eavesdrop on marine biology at the Shedd Aquarium; animal behaviour at the Lincoln Park Zoo; improvisational theatre at 'Second City'; and black studies at the Centre for Inner City Studies, deep in the tense South side ghetto.
