Description
This programme is an exploration of the development of the bond between a mother and her baby using special filming technique it analyses sequencer of what is known as pre-speech. This is a recentl...y discovered phenomenon, where babies, even of a few days old, take part in adult type conversations with their mothers, known as "pre speech". The programme is based on recent research at Edinburgh University by Dr. Colwyn Trewarthen and contains an interview with Dr. Hugh Jolly, consultant paediatrician at West London Hospital, Hammersmith and author of the British "Dr. Spock". However, the filming for this programme revealed a degree of interaction not previously described. As a result of this, the film material has been analysed by a time-sampling method and this analysis is to be the subject of a future research paper in the psychological press.

Further instances of "this experiment are shown so that pre speech can be observed in the babies.
