Description
This is the second of two programmes showing the application of Organisation Development in context, and in the film we see it applied in the running of Sheldon High School, Eugene, Oregon, USA. As... the title indicates, in this programme we see what happens when there is dissensus among the Decision Making Body and the various ways that OD is used to resolve this situation.

Footage description: Over graphics showing the four targets being discussed by Henry Sheldon High School's DMB (Decision-Making Body), Morgan explains that the object of the meeting is to discuss the reallocation of teacher aides in the school, using OD. The DMB is observed discussing their second target, which specifies that their decision must be a fair one. There is some dispute about whether a compromise should be made between conflicting views. Eventually, a vote is taken on target 2. Targets 3 and 4 are displayed in graphics. Morgan, in voice-over, outlines the background to target 4, which aims to preserve certain unique programmes dependent on teacher aides. Further film of the discussion, all on the question of target 4. Impasse is reached between those who do and those who don't wish to alter the distribution of teacher aides. They decide to form a sub committee to resolve the problem. The final part of the discussion entails the reconciliation of teachers of differing point of view, and their agreement to form a subcommittee.
