Footage description: Grugeon introduces the programme, which deals with different stages in the production of story books. The teacher is seen leading a group discussion of one child's story in draft form. They suggest possible endings for it. A small group of boys are seen working on their own. Three of them read stories they have written, which are discussed and edited by the whole group. A group of girls compare initial drafts for their description of their monster, Freddie Fire. Eventually they select a leader, and go on to produce one description that they all agree on. Over shots of the boy's group, Grugeon comments on the problem of putting stories into book form. The boys discuss the design and illustrations of their folder. Grugeon concludes by indicating useful lesson teachers can learn from the programme.
