This is the second of two television programmes about the working of the new authority of Cumbria. It was recorded on 27th January 1977 and looks at the Education Committee's debate on that day whi...ch was taken in the context of economic crisis and cuts being demanded by Central Government of local authorities. In addition to covering the main items of debate, the programme also includes interviews with the main protagonists on each side of the Council Chamber.
