This programme examines the Alternative Use of Resources (AUR) scheme, which is operated in this country by the Inner London Education Authority. It gives all schools a sum of money, varying from ...school to school, which they are free to spend as they think fit. The amount each school gets depends partly on their position in an ILEA 'index'. But waht factors determine their position on the Index/ And how can ILEA ensure its money is being spent wisely?
