Description
Can we all see a ball knock skittles over? Or, more broadly, can we see one event cause another? Only if causality is a real connection between individual events. In this programme Dr. Rosalind Hur...sthouse outlines the views of David Hume, an 18th century philosopher, who denied the existence of such a connection, and sketches the possibility of a rival view. The result is a visually fascinating programme, and a very interesting analysis of what's at the basis of all cause and effect arguments.
