Description
The Philosophy of Science II develops the theme of the Philosophy of Science I and shows how a scientific theory is sophisticated and modified. We first see Seemelweis accoutning for new outbreaks ...of puerperal fever, which extends his understanding of the causes of the disease. The programme then discusses the work of Pasteur, whose great theoretical insights and detailed research and Koch whose careful laboratory methods, are examples of the way 'normal science' in Kuhn's phrase, proceeds.
