Description
This programme examines the architecture and design of the church of All Saints, Margaret Street, London, relating its architectural form and decoration to its original function. Designed by Butter...field and begun in 1849, it was built to serve the ritualistic needs of the Anglo-Catholic movement in a then poor part of London. All Saints is compared with a near contemporary church, St Mark's Dalston, London which is representative of the more standard brand of Anglicanism.
