Description
This is the fourth programme in a series of eight and, like all the others, is divided into three case studies filmed on location in the cities of Vancouver, British Columbia; Cracow, Poland and Bi...rmingham U.K. Here we look at the dynamics of change in city centres. In Vancouver we examine the phenomenal rate of development and the hypothesis of there being a cycle of growth. In Cracow we consider how far the city centre is different in a city where free market forces do not operate. In Birmingham, we take as an example of development, plans to redevelop the old Great Western Railway's Snow Hill site, close to the city's office district.
