Description
This programme identifies 4 types of audiences for educational television; the general audience, the school audience, the small group audience and individual learners. Schools television, because o...f its long history of extensive use is introduced as the prototype of which other uses are adaptions. A BBC primary school series 'Watch' is seen being used. Other examples are a small group of nurses using the BBC/OU video from 'a systematic 'Approach to Nursing Care', and an OU student of S324 watching Hendrick Ball's 'Flying in Birds', and to discuss the general audience, an interview with ex-Horizon editor Graham Massey, who illustrates his comments with excerpts from 'Talking Turtle'.
