Description
This programme looks at the very first stages of the child's ability to handle and manipulate objects. The stages young children go through in the first year of life are traced, comparing progress ...to that made by robots. The developmental framework behind the child's ability to learn hoe to grasp an object is explained and problems encountered by robotics specialists as they try to get their robots to be as effective as young babies described.
