This programme sets out some of the ways in which mathematics teaching is rooted in social contexts which can contain racist assumptions, and what can be done to counter this. The programme then c...oncentrates on one aspect of what some teachers are calling 'anti-racist mathematics' that is mathematics that takes as its subject matter a greater understanding of social and racial equality.
