Description
1. The first part of the video deals with what is meant by mathematical thinking and investigative maths. It shows teachers involved in an INSET session discovering the power of learning investigat...ively; it then goes on to follow one of these teachers working with her 7 year old pupils in this way. -- 2. The second section deals with the learning environment, and how teachers make use of the resources available to them. It also briefly touches on the areas of equal opportunity and special needs. -- 3. The third section is a series of sequences dealing with issues of assessment. It shows examples of children of various abilities, and at different stages of learning. These snippets of classroom actuality pose questions for the teachers viewing on how to assess pupils.
