Description
This programme looks at the relationship between language and education in multi cultural Britain. The first half of the programme considers issues raised by pupils from asian backgrounds - how sch...ools can respond to children's bilingual abilities - what this means for teachers and pupils. The second half of the programme gives students some background into the development of creole languages, and explores the different responses given by people involved with education to the use of these creoles in schools.
