Description
This programme looks at some of the activities of the Co-operative Women's Guild, largely through the eyes of its members. The Guild has been in existence for over a hundred years now and until the... outbreak of the Second World War it had tens of thousands of members, enriching the lives of largely working class women of all ages. After the war, however, membership started to decline and now, in the nieties, much of the membership is elderley; the very existence of the Guild is in question.
