Footage description: Bob Slater introduces the programme. He then interviews Tryphena Ashley, occupational nurse at a steel plant in Wales, about why she chose to become a nurse and why she became an occupational nurse. She describes her daily routine and she is shown conducting a medical interview and treating an injured worker. Bob Slater now interviews Mary Jones about her work as chief nursing officer for the Welsh steel industry and her attitude towards retirement. Bob Slater compares the way in which the careers of the two women have prepared them for retirement. Next he talks to Roy Ashley about his work and attitude towards retirement. Roy is shown at work in his capacity as a security officer. Roy and Tryphena talk together to Bob Slater about how they plan to pass their time in retirement. Bob Slater compares their attitudes with those of Mary Jones who deliberately planned a new life for herself upon retirement.
