Footage description: This programme consists of a dramatisation of the events occuring to a couple, Chris and Roz as they spend an evening with friends. As the evening progresses Roz is left to feel isolated and bored. Over caricatures of the participants the narrator points out how Roz was made to feel unwanted. There then follows the first of three scenarios which show ways in which Chris and Roz can resolve their difficulties. The first dramatic ation is of a quarrel. Chris and Roz argue with each other about the reasons for their poor night out. The narrator points out reasons why the arguement will not help Chris and Roz. They are both arguing from stereotyped positions. The second scenario has Chris and Roz being superficially pleasant to each other. Over caricatures the narrator again points out how this is just another way of avoiding the main problems that face the couple. In the third scenario the two try to resolve their difficulties in an honest fashion, explaining their positions to each other. The programme ends with the couple out with the same friends having a pleasant evening.
