Description
The film focuses on the work of Amanda. Lowe, an Occupational Therapist working in a Social Services Department, and involved in making home based assessments of client needs. It shows her visiting... two clients, Patricia Stewart, who has rheumatoid arthritis, and Paul Bough, who has multiple sclerosis. Interviews with them, and with Don Bannister, a Clinical/Research Psychologist, explore a 'negotiated' or collaborative approach to the process of professional assessment. The programme is narrated by Ann Brechin.
