This video cassette is a studio based session which leads the students through some fairly detailed analysis which should lead them towards an action plan. This is the second video in the course a...nd the students should already have an idea of what Europe and the Single Market offers their business. Peter Hobday talks to a variety of people including Jonathan Carr of Techstyle Products Ltd who was featured in the first video and discusses Jonathan's SWOT plan. A SWOT plan is where firms study their Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats. There are also several film inserts in the video cassette where the country desk for Italy at the DTI are interviewed and give information about the facilities they offer. The information librarian at the Institute of Directors is also interviewed to give an idea of the sort of information people can obtain from specialist libraries. Also in the studio Peter Hobday interviews a representative from National Westminster Bank plc and also a representative from a Chamber of Commerce.
