Description
This film will be shown to all S101 students at the beginning of each summer school week. It demonstrates some of the principles of coastal erosion, transportation and deposition, and examines vari...ous coastal environments in terms of the energy of those environments. Thus, it starts with the high energy storm beach, moves into the medium energy sand beaches and dunes, and then to the low energy mud flats and salt marshes of tidal estuaries. The final part of the film reviews fossil examples of the features that have been observed forming in the coastal environments.
