Description
Despite the inability to generate heat themselves, reptiles are by no means cold-blooded. even in cold northern lattitudes, many can achieve and maintain a very high body temperature and they do th...is by a variety of subtle behavioural 'tricks'. A number of techniques, including infra-red photography, are used to examine and compare the thermal strategies of lizards from desert and temperate habitats. Dr. Peter Davies studies temperate reptiles in South Eastern Spain and we go with him on one of his field trips.
