In this programme w...e visit Trinidad to see how selective block and open range management compares in the company of Dr. Mike Gillman and Dr. Colin Clubbe. We find out how bioindicator species can be used to monitor disturbance caused on extracting the hardwood timber. These bioindicators are butterflies and epiphytes. Their use is demonstrated and important results from recent surveys carried out in Trinidad's rainforests discussed.
