Footage description: John Beishon, Raymond Harel, Mike Ambrose, Benny Ellenbogen, Louis Karpati, Israel Levin, Krijn Van der Kaay, Dennis Lewis.;The afternoon session of the negotiations between IATA and the Israeli Airports Authority opens with Dennis Lewis, Director of IATA's User Charges Committee, explaining that the airlines will not agree to pay charges for the airport services at Jerusalem and El At, which they do not use. He and Raymond Harel, director General of the Israel Airports Authority, discuss this matter at length. The discussion broadens to include Louis Karpati of Air France and Harel colleague, Benny Ellenbogen. They concentrate on the issue of cross-subsidisation. The meeting stops for an extended coffee break, during which intensive informal negotiations take place. Small groups discuss specific issues until a general compromise is reached. The meeting resumes its formal stance. Lewis details the compromise hammered out during the coffee break. Harel states his agreement. We observe Ambrose, Ellenbogen and Lewis drawing up a written agreement to express their compromise. They discuss the wording of the agreement. Brief shots of the formal agreement being signed by all concerned. In interview Ambrose considers what has been achieved and how the negotiations could have been improved. Interview with Lewis who expresses satisfaction with what I.A.T.A. got from the negotiations.
