Description
All modern communicat:ion equipment: is designed around certain basic fundamental concepts: abstract ideas such as frequency, waveforms, spectrum. These basic terms are explained and demonstrated ...by David Crecraft, using a range of equipment from a simple vibrating ruler to a Moog Synthesiser. Musician Derek Grossmith plays a variety of wind instruments, and we analyse the musical notes into electronic signals. Additionally, the effectiveness of this programme is the subject of scrutiny by students in TMA 02 of this course. They are expected to compare the approach of this programme with TV5, and to weigh up how well TV6 taught basic theories, compared with the same facts taught in parallel by text and audio-cassette.
