Description
This programme consists of a round-table dispute about oil depletion policy with leading figures in the oil business; John Kettlewell, George Williams, John Naughton, Lord Kearton, John Liverman, D...r Birks, Trevor Skeet MP & Martin Lovegrove. The argument is structured around a hypothetical oil policy review by a new oil minister. Moderated by a barrister Mark Cran, the debate is conducted in front of an invited audience from the Open University. The aim of the programme is to convince the audience that the future of the North Sea Oil province is as much dependent on politics and economics, on state intervention and business stratigem, as it is on the reserves of oil in the ground.
