Description
Programme 1 in a three part series in which businessman Sir Gerry Robinson takes on the biggest challenge of his career - the NHS. Sir Gerry believes that any organisation, big or small, can be ma...de to run well... and to prove it he is aiming to bring down waiting times at Rotherham General Hospital in just 6 months. In programme 1 he discovers an NHS where staff don't know who is in control, where consultants wield enormous power and where, despite waiting lists, there are operating theatres lying empty.
