Description
In January 2007 The container ship MSC Napoli ran aground of the sooth coast of Devon, spilling its cargo on Branscombe beach. The public response was mixed; delight from the opportunists who plu...ndered the ship's booty and disgust from the authorities who struggled to police the looting. But the looters of the Napoli were reviving a tradition that stretched back centuries connecting coastal communities all around Britain to a sinister profession known as 'wrecking'. This programme goes in search of the mysterious history of the wreckers.
