Description
As global communications improve and fewer people can maintain a traditional way of life, the world's languages are disappearing at an alarming rate. Although countries like Nigeria and Papua New G...uinea boast hundreds of languages, linguists are becoming increasingly perturbed by the general reduction in linguistic diversity. What can be done to preserve a language in danger of extinction and how has Hebrew been brought back from a literary grave? Enthusiasts in Cornwall have taken steps to reintroduce their language and even brought up their children to be bilingual in Cornish and English, but will they be successful in re-establishing Cornish as a language of a whole community?
