Description
Ecologists from The Open University are taking a stall around to UK music festivals to encourage festival goers to identify plants and bugs and look at how plants and soil microbes behave. Festival...-goers will also be invited to the 'swab throne' to take a swab of their boots, feet, rucksack, etc. This will be applied to a labelled agar plate, sealed, and cultured overnight. The participant will be invited to return the following day to see how 'gross' their festival kit really is. Photos of participants and/or their 'cultures' will be displayed on a 'grossometer' scale.
