In this session, Ann and Lynne will look at some of the particular aspects of the social work and nursing programme that make it different to other degree programmes. Once a student completes a dou...ble qualification in nursing and social work, they are eligible for entry to the nursing and social work registers. Therefore, as well as academic abilities, students are tested on communication skills and approaches to values and ethics. This session will include guidance on how to tackle the assignment process and how to use tutor feedback as a tool not only to help you improve, but also to reflect on your practice and think about what you will do differently next time. The nursing and social work programmes require students to be sponsored by employers, so this session will encourage you to think about strategies to help you learn while you earn.
